Individual Registrant Privacy Option

From 28 November 2017 individual registrants who are not in significant trade will be able to choose to withhold their phone number and contact address from publicly appearing in a .nz domain query. This means that while registrants are still accountable, they can access improved privacy controls if they choose.

This change in the .nz domain name space came about after 5 rounds of consultation on the review of the WHOIS domain registrant search. You can read about those consultations and how we came to where we are today here.

This page will have more information added to it as we approach launch day on 28 November 2017. You can also be informed of any changes and updates as they happen by signing up to our newsletter at the bottom of this page.

Alternatively if you have any questions please feel free to email info@dnc.org.nz, or use our contact form here.
