Version 1.29 of the SRS Client Application Design document is available. It describes the SRS connection architecture and protocol to the level of detail necessary for registrars to develop their interfaces to the system. The OpenSource registrar software that will be provided as part of the Registrar Implementation Kit (RIK) is based upon this specification.
To assist in understanding the document, the SRS protocol DTD is also available on the web site at

WARNING:
This document is still in its pre-release form and has been published in response to requests from potential registrars to assist in their planning for the SRS. It is subject to change while testing occurs and represents only Phase 1 of the interface. The first 'official' version of this document will be contained in the RIK, which is scheduled for release on 6 September 2002.
